Hillary Clinton comes to Fort Greene for a book signing of ‘What Happened,’ her personal account of the 2016 presidential campaign, its aftermath and potential implications for the nation’s future

Hillary Clinton is coming to Fort Greene’s Greenlight Bookstore on Wednesday, September 27 to promote her upcoming memoir What Happened, in which she shares her personal experiences with the unprecedented 2016 presidential campaign, its aftermath and its potential implications for the nation’s future.

“In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I’ve often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net. Now I’m letting my guard down,” Clinton wrote in the introduction of What Happened.

In What Happened, Clinton gives a very personal account of her experiences as the first female presidential candidate of a major party, what it was like to run against Donald Trump, the mistakes she made and how she has coped with the shocking loss. She lays out how the 2016 election was marked by an unprecedented assault on US democracy by a foreign power, warns how dangerous these forces are and why Americans need to understand what happened to protect America’s values and democracy in the future.
