WHAT: MANIFESTA WITH INNOV GNAWA & DJ TRES DOS - Innov Gnawa is a traditional Moroccan gnawa band based in New York City. After gaining recognition as the first gnawa band to be featured in Music Under New York, the troupe has quickly reached a large and adoring audience by approaching collaborations across all genres with and is uniting music fans with their innovative, hypnotic and ecstatic take on North Africa's trance-inducing folk tradition.

WHAT: BROOKLYN BUG FESTIVAL -  This weekend, adventurous gourmands will be able to chow down on ants, roaches, crickets and more! The festival also features panels, presentations, cooking demos You can even bring your kids who can enter the festival for free on Saturday with an online reservation.

If you consider yourself a real bug - afficionado, then you may want to get tickets for the "Bug Banquet" featuring chefs like the festival's organizer Joseph Yoon; David George Gordon, best known as the "Bug Chef"; and Chef PV, who runs a popular YouTube channel called "Buggin'Out." If you do not want to pay a for a $120 ticket, you have another opportunity to enjoy edible insects at the community brunch on Sunday at Guadeloupe Inn, where you pay as you go. WHAT: JUNIOR CARNIVAL PARADE - As many as 36 youth groups are signed up for this year's Junior Carnival Parade which is not only a festive event, but also serves the important purpose of sharing and preserving culture. As it is custom, a King and Queen will be crowned, and all participating bands will be judged in a Junior Band competition. This is a fun-filled event for the entire family!

WHAT: MAKOSSA BK COOKOUT - Season Finale (w/ Zephyr Ann, Juan G + Bembona) - The Makossa Season comes to an end with three guest DJs. This feel-good event is considered one of the best outdoor summer soirees in Brooklyn. WHAT: 50TH WEST INDIAN AMERICAN LABOR DAY PARADE -  NYC's Annual West Indian American Day Carnival held on Labor Day attracts more than a million people, making it one of the, if not the largest Caribbean celebrations in the country. Get ready to dance to steel bands, calypso and soca music while you watch the stunning costumes of parade participants as they dance their way down the Eastern Parkway.

Even if you're only a casual reggae fan who owns but one mere copy of "Legend," you're guaranteed to enjoy yourself at Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin's holiday concert. This eight-hour show is your next best chance at enjoying the carnival vibes taking over all of Brooklyn this weekend -aside from the parade.
