The Source360 festival and conference returns from August 10, through Sunday, August 13, taking over multiple downtown Brooklyn locations to celebrate the innovation and creativity inspired by hip-hop. The festival will feature leadership panels, youth education and training sessions, nightly concerts, a block party and a closing brunch celebration.

Daily panel discussions conducted by influencers and entrepreneurs in arts and culture, music, film and television, technology, sports and fashion will cover topics such as the new age of music distribution; community and policing; a glam panel; the gap of hispanic and urban culture, and the state of hip-hop. ?Featured speakers include Charlamagne Tha God, Lord Jamar of Brand Nubian, Freeway, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzales, Councilman Jumaane Williams, Joy Williams of the NAACP, Danny Hastings, Max Santos, Yomi Desalu of BET, Valeisha Butterfield-Jones of Google Love & Hip-Hop's Cyn Santana and former New York Jet Marvin Washington, among others.

The conference will kick off with a daylong tech hackathon on Thursday, during which youth grades 6 to 12 will get hands-on training in how hip-hop culture and web/mobile technology can be applied to creating innovative solutions to community issues.

On Friday, the Master Class Power Talks, one-on-one interview sessions, will feature No Limit CEO Master P, discussing "The Power of Hip-Hop and Business," and BET CEO Debra Lee, reflecting on "The Power of Evolution of Cultures, Content and Commerce."

Later that evening, the Unsigned Hype showcase, which gives a platform to up-and-coming new talent, and the Mic Check All-Stars rap battle will include performances by Casanova, Jay Critch and Quadir Lateef W.

The Source360 Block Party on Saturday at Rockwell Place will feature musical performances by Brand Nubian, Freeway, Mack Wilds, Drag-On, Nitty Scott, Renee Neufville/Zhane, Prodigy/Mindless Behavior, among others. Additionally, there will be family friendly features including live DJs, step/stroll performances, the Brooklyn Public Library mobile bus, virtual reality games and fun activities for kids such as clowns, double dutch and face painting.

On Sunday, the festival will conclude with a brunch celebration honoring key community leaders who are dedicated to issues of social justice.
