Emara Grainger, also known as "The Endurance Mom," has started a FREE Aerobics class with an Afro-Caribbean flair in East New York.

She calls her classes Afrobics, and she welcomes residents of all ages, fitness levels and sizes.

"I started this class about six months ago, because I found myself having to travel everywhere else but home to experience an African dance class," said Grainger, a resident of East New York. "So since I love working out; I love African dance; and love being close to home, I decided start this class here in the community so that everyone can enjoy and have access right in their own community."

Grainger opens the classes up to the public every Tuesday, 7:00pm, at Arts East New York, located at 534 Livonia Avenue.

"This class is about releasing stress through movement while having fun," said Grainger. "I'm a mother; I'm a wife; I'm an entrepreneur. So I know stress. In this class you learn how to cope, release stress and have a good time.

"Now, you have no excuse to not come out. It's convenient, close to home, and it's free dollars!"
