You’ve probably heard of birth doulas, who assist women before and during birth, but a new trend hitting our area is the use of postpartum doulas. These experts help families in those days and weeks after baby comes home.

More and more women are opening up about their struggles with postpartum depression. According to the CDC more than 600,000 women get postpartum depression each year in the United States. Postpartum doulas are helping guide women through this potentially difficult time.
