What do you know about the Ladies of 3rd Thursday?
Started a year ago by Central and East Brooklyn residents Sharon Devonish Leid, Avis Jones Devonish, Lydia Patel and Michelle McClymont, Ladies of 3rd Thursday is a group of Brooklyn businesswomen and entrepreneurs from across a variety industries-- public relations, media, insurance-- who meet up every third Thursday evening of the month at a black-owned establishment to network and share resources in effort to help build each others' practices.
At each meeting, a form is completed by each attendee so everyone knows what services people are looking for to help build their business and then participants receive the attendance sheet so that everyone has the opportunity to follow up and continue networking after the event.
On March 16, 2017, The Ladies of 3rd Thursday celebrates Women's History Month by honoring 31 outstanding Business women who have made significant contributions to Brooklyn. The event will take place at The Brook Space, located at 1614 Fulton Street in Brooklyn, from 6:30pm - 9:30pm.
All of the women will receive a "Woman in Power" Award.
