Meat Market, 380 Tompkins Avenue (BedStuy)

Owned and operated by the lovely and charming Kemba Blodworth, a Brooklynite via Atlanta, Georgia, Meat Market is a super-cool thrift shop that's so much more than a thrift shop. It's a consignment shop, where they buy and sell gently used clothes and resell them at pocket friendly prices.

Kemba and her eye for style and fashion means you can always expect to find totally unique, killer pieces on the racks.

Meat Market's reputation and status as one of the few stores that buys and sells in BedStuy means there are always customers stalking the selections, as well as sellers eager to let go some of their prized pieces, in exchange for a little cash in their pockets.

It's pro-neighborhood as well, hosting art shows, Reiki sessions and dream board sessions. Recently, it held a Sustainable Fashion pop-up in the store.

Don't forget to check out Meat Market as part of your holiday shopping!
