Beginning Friday, November 4 and continuing through April 2, 2017, artist Marilyn Minter's exhibit Pretty/Dirty-- a retrospective examining some of our deepest cultural impulses, compulsions, and fantasies-- will be display at the Brooklyn Museum for the final leg of its national tour.
Featuring more than forty-five paintings, three videos, and over a dozen photographs made between 1969 and 2015, Pretty/Dirty explores the evolution of Marilyn Minter's style and technique. The Brooklyn Museum is the final venue for this touring exhibition.
This Thursday, November 10, at 7:00pm, artist Marilyn Minter will be at the Brooklyn Museum to lead a 10-minute Q&A with a group of her inspirations, collaborators, and creative comrades. Over the course of two hours, Minter will moderate a rapid-fire discussion, exploring topics as diverse as sexual imagery, social activism, male feminism, fashion, and contemporary painting.
