Bed-Stuy Man Shot 5 Times on Lafayette Ave and Malcolm X Blvd

Police of the 81st Precinct are looking for the person(s) involved in the shooting of Bed-Stuy resident Friday night.

NYPD responded to reports of shots fired on Friday, October 28, at around 7:30pm, at 1015 Lafayette Avenue near Malcolm X Boulevard. Detectives arrived on the scene to find a man identified as Dashawn Tejada, 26, laying injured in the lobby of the building with 5 gunshot wounds about his body.

According to Tejada, he was sitting in front of the building when an unknown man fired numerous shots and then fled in unknown direction. However, the victim was uncooperative in providing any additional information.

Tejada was taken to Kings County Hospital where he is being treated.  The detective squad is currently working the case, and no arrest have been made.
