BRIC Jazz Fest returns for a second year beginning October 8 – 15, featuring some of the most celebrated contemporary and legendary artists of the genre, including Eddie Palmieri Latin Jazz Septet, Terrace Martin, Marc Ribot Trio and just added– Jose James!
This year’s festival has expanded to feature a full week of programming, including a new series of jazz film screenings– a two-night film marathon on two giant screens in BRIC House, an array of classic films that shed light on influential artists and historical moments in jazz– and a three-day concert marathon.
Four additional free concerts include two evening performances for all ages and two daytime concerts for 500 students from participating local schools.
The three-night jazz marathon also includes performances by David Murray Infinity Quartet, Marc Ribot Trio, Lisa Fischer, Krystle Warren, Taylor McFerrin & Marcus Gilmore, Ben Allison & Think Free, Harold Lopez Nussa, Julian Lage, Lakecia Benjamin Soulsquad, Big Yuki and many more.
The Box Office at BRIC House is open on performance days only, one hour prior to the event. BRIC House is located at 647 Fulton Street and is open weekdays and Saturday at 8:00am and Sundays at 10:00am.
