Brooklyn based artist, Laolu Senbanjo gained worldwide attention when his entrancing body illustrations were featured in Beyonce's "Sorry" music video. Although the video showcased his latest works on the bodies of Beyonce's dynamic dancers, Senbanjo is an artist that employs various types of canvases in order to express himself.

According to a recent interview in Vogue, the former human rights attorney took up art full time after making the jump from his home in Lagos to the budding artist haven, also known as Brooklyn.  Now the Brooklynite is sharing his talents with his newfound community in a performance as part of ARTs East New York's Summer Saturdaze series. This 4-week event series continues through August, combining a deeper appreciation for the arts with a focus on socio-economic issues that negatively affect the East New York community.

Laolu Senbanjo is planning a musical performance as well as the live body illustrations that have become his trademark. The performance is slated for this Saturday, August 6, 2016 beginning at 11:00 am at East New York Farmers Market 613 New Lots Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11207.
