Woman's Dead Body Found by Dog Walker in Crown Heights Park

A man was walking his dog in Brower Park on Saturday afternoon when he came upon the corpse of a 35-year-old woman. According to a recent report, the discovery was made by Kendale Golson, who often walks his dog in that popular Crown Heights park in the afternoons. Golson was walking with his dog around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday when the dog began to pull him towards an area full of bushes. Once he got closer, he saw a young woman's lifeless body, covered with flies, with a rag over her face.

Golson quickly alerted the New York Police Department about the body and local EMTs responded to the park soon after, pronouncing the woman dead at the scene. According to investigators, the woman was fully clothed and showed no immediate signs of trauma. Out of respect for the woman's family, the investigators have not released the name of the victim as they work to notify all of her family members privately.

Although the medical examiner is expected to perform an autopsy this week, the discovery echoes similar grisly discoveries in local parks within the last few weeks. This past Sunday, another woman's body was found on a bench in McCarren Park.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers  24/7 Hotline 1-866-313-TIPS (8477)
