The project, which will be housed across three Brownsville locations-- the Howard Houses Community Center, P.S. 298, Brownsville Collaborative Middle School (BCMS), Brownsville Partnership and the Brooklyn Public Library Brownsville Branch-- is an effort led by State Senator Jesse Hamilton, in partnership with Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Assemblywoman Latrice Walker.

The Campus envisions creating co-working space for local tech startups and entrepreneurs, hosting coding and app development workshops, providing e-workforce development skills building, and including a wellness focus to help confront local public health challenges, to include overcoming stress and anxiety. The Campus' programs will be open to the community, with a particular focus on neighborhood youth ages 12-18.

Earlier this week, the three elected officials provided a tour of the burgeoning campus, scheduled for an official launch fall 2016, with the Office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) Commissioner Samuel Roberts, and community partners.
