Police Looking for Shooter of 25-yr-old Victim in Bed-Stuy

Police in the 81st Precinct are looking for the perpetrator responsible for shooting and injuring a 25-year-old man on Monday in Bed-Stuy.

According to police reports, the shooting to place on Monday, March 7, at around 8:55pm in front of 169 Howard Avenue between Decatur and Bainbridge Streets.

The victim was sitting on the stoop when a car approached slowly and a man, black, dressed in dark clothing with a bandana over his face exited the vehicle and began firing at the victim. The victim turned and started to run inside the building as the perpetrator continued shooting. 

The victim was struck three times-- once in the stomach, once in the left thigh and once in the right lower leg.

Police and emergency personnel were called to the scene. Police conducted a canvass for the auto with negative results.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The case is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time.
