The arms of gentrification in Brooklyn are bountiful and spread far and wide. Few will dispute the impact of the borough's rapid real estate development on the demographic makeup, cost of living and culture. But, perhaps, one of the loudest and most obvious outgrowths of the recent changes is seen in the arrival of the hipster culture.
In this video, Brooklyn-born comic Jimmy Kimmel concluded his week-long stay in Brooklyn taping Jimmy Kimmel Live! by reflecting one how much the borough has changed since his childhood. Kimmel riffs Spike Lee's 1989 classic "Do the Right Thing" with Do the White Thing, set in Bedford-Stuyvesant Brooklyn and featuring all-star cameos by actors Billy Crudup, Zooey Deschanel, Rosie Perez and Flavor Flav!
