Residents of District 36 (which includes Bedford-Stuyvesant and parts of Crown Heights): How would you spend $1 million dollars in your neighborhood?

Surely you have some ideas. Well, now is your chance to be a part of that decision process!

Beginning Saturday, September 12, City Councilmember Robert E. Cornegy, Jr. will host for District 36 residents a series of meetups where residents can help decide how to spend public funds in their community through participatory budgeting. This includes things like parks, schools, libraries, streets, and more! Neighborhood Assemblies are your chance to learn about the process, propose project ideas and connect with neighbors.

Take the 1st step in bringing participatory budgeting (PB) to the 36th Council District. Join an upcoming neighborhood assembly (see three different date/location options below) to brainstorm ideas with your community! You can also sign up to be one of the delegates who will help transform the ideas into fundable proposals to be voted on next spring.

Mark your calendars!
