On Tuesday, August 18, Food Bank for New York citywide nutrition awareness programs will present peer lessons in healthy eating to teens and tweens in Brooklyn, as a part of Food Bankss summer series of events to address childhood hunger.

More than 160 day campers at P.S. 186 will receive a free nutritious lunch prepared by Food Bank’s Culinary Ambassador Chef Max Hardy.

In addition, teen ambassadors from Food Bank For New York Citys EATWISE program (Educated and Aware Teens Who Inspire Smart Eating) will lead a Change One Thing lesson with games and demonstrations on the benefits of healthy eating with a nutrition message of Dont Change Your Life. Just Change One Thing,

The event will take place at PS 186K, NIA ExpandED Day Camp, 7601 19th Avenue in Brooklyn.

Food Banks nutrition education programs and services empower more than 275,000 children, teens and adults to sustain a healthy diet on a low budget. EATWISE and Change One Thing, events have been running all summer and will continue through the end of August.
