Citibike to Host First-Ever 'Free Ride Day' à la Switzerland!

On Thursday May 14, in celebration of Bike Month and Bike-to-Work Week, Switzerland Tourism , in conjunction with Citi Bike , is underwriting the first-ever free ride day for New Yorkers.

On Thursday May 14, in celebration of Bike Month and Bike-to-Work Week, Switzerland Tourism, in conjunction with Citi Bike, is underwriting the first-ever free ride day for New Yorkers.

For 24 hours (from 12:01 am to 11:59 pm), free day passes will be available at any Citi Bike station kiosk.

Even if you are visiting or don't own your own bike. Citi Bike will offer 24-7 access to thousands of bikes at hundreds of stations, spaced every few blocks within the service area. Bike enthusiasts can download the free Citi Bike app to find stations, bikes, docks, bike lanes and even route assistance.

How to Ride for Free on May 14

To ride New York City free on May 14 from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, riders just need to swipe a credit card and select the 24-Hour Access Pass option. No promo code is needed. A $101 security hold may be placed on the card. Standard overtime fees apply to trips that last longer than 30 minutes.
