Womeneur, an online platform that celebrates, connects, enlightens and empowers female business owners and entrepreneurs, has launched!
Womeneur.com Founder Sharon Beason said she launched the site to connect local business owners and also provide them with a network of support to flourish and thrive.
"Large-media platforms tend to focus on telling stories about the same people. But who's sending journalists and reporters into the heart of local communities to discover hard workers offering amazing products and services — setting up brick and mortars, working from home or selling at pop-up shops and markets?" said Beason on the website. "People need a platform that will connect them to who these people are and know how to best support them."
Womeneur.com site features include an online local business directory; articles showcaing successful women entrepreneurs; a blogs section on careers, business and money; as well as a calendar of planned events, workshops, roundtables, guest speakers, discussions and more.
On Tuesday, April 28, Beason celebrated Womeneur's launch with a shopping party at DUMBO Loft— an opportunity for the community to meet some of Brooklyn's premier women entrepreneurs, shop, sip and have fun! It was a night of cocktails, culture, creativity and couture!
