The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) has announced its summer internship program opportunity for young adults attending or entering college.

DSC01997The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) has announced its summer internship program opportunity for young adults attending or entering college.

The goal of the program is to provide worthwhile work experiences for college students living in the communities surrounding the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The internship program gives college students who live locally an opportunity to get real work experience, exposure to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, become familiar with the industrial sector and have an opportunity to earn a salary in the summer that may supplement their college cost.

Navy Yard businesses will provide the student with a meaningful work experience. BNYDC will interview and hire qualified college students for opportunities with businesses in the Yard that agree to host a summer intern. Students must be at least 18 years old and be able to present documentation that they are currently enrolled in a college program or have been admitted to college. As there are limited internship opportunities; applications should be sent in as early as possible.
