Jamaican reggae royalty comes to the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House this Saturday when Grammy Award-winning singer Shaggy headlines with singers Maxi Priest ("Close to You") and Sanchez ("Missing You") in a one-of-a-kind celebration of dancehall, reggae, ska and R&B.

Shaggy is best known for his hits "Boombastic," "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel." Born in Kingston Jamaica, Shaggy and his family moved to Flatbush when the singer and DJ was 18 years old. He was discovered a year later while singing in the street with friends.

Maxi Priest is a British reggae vocalist of Jamaican descent, best known for singing reggae music with an R&B fusion, also known as "reggae fusion." Maxi went on to become one of the most successful international reggae stars in that genre of all time.

Born Kevin Anthony Jackson in Kingston, Jamaica, Sanchez was given the name because of his soccer skills that were compared to that of professional soccer player Hugo Sanchez. He is an internationally known and respect dancehall and reggae fusion singer and producer.

BAM is located at 30 Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene. Tickets start at $79. To purchase, go here.
