Entertainment attorney Londell McMillan will be the special honoree and guest at the "Bed Stuy Reunion All Star Party," hosted by City Councilmember Robert Cornegy, Filmmaker Spike Lee and Hip Hop icon Ralph McDaniels during All Star Weekend, this weekend, in Bed-Stuy.

McMillan was born and raised in Tompkins Houses in Bed-Stuy. In 1983, McMillan graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School, went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where he was an honors graduate and Academic All-American football player. For graduate school, he obtain his law degree from New York University School of Law.

He founded an entertainment law firm where his reputation as one of the city's top attorneys earned him a fast-growing list of big-name clients, including The Discovery Channel, Time Warner, Radio One, National Football League, Mercedes-Benz Prince, Lil' Kim, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, and Michael Jackson before his death. McMillan was named as one of The National Law Journal's 50 most Influential Minority Lawyers in America, and in 2007 was recognized as one of New York's Super Lawyers.

On Saturday, February 14, from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, at Bedford Hall, located at 1177 Bedford Avenue, Londell McMillan will be recognized for his decades of contributions to the legal and entertainment fields.

"This is about honoring those people from Bed-Stuy-- and there are a ton of them-- who are making big contributions to society in their daily dealings and who always put Bed-Stuy in a good light," said Cornegy. "It's about exemplifying the best of what the neighborhood has to offer. Those are the stories we want to tell."
