The year 2014 didn't escape Bedford-Stuyvesant without setting two new records:

The Central Brooklyn neighborhood of Biggie, Jay-Z and Shirley Chisholm fame at the end of the year sold most expensive condo and the most expensive brownstone in the neighborhood's history, according to Curbed.

A four-bedroom garden duplex at 252 Gates Avenue, has gone into contract for $1.83 million and the new most expensive townhouse, 101 Hancock Street, is in contract for $2.45 million.

Both properties spent just over a month on the market before they were snatched up at their record-breaking prices.
