1. Alternate side of the street parking is suspended on Monday, December 8, in observance of Immaculate Conception.

2. Weather: Temperatures in Brooklyn will be in the high 30s and low 40s all week, with a few days of icy precipitation expected mid-week, as a result of an icy wind storm that will approach and then settle across the northeast region of the U.S.

3. On Thursday, December 11, from 4:00pm – 5:30pm, Greenlight Bookstore, located at 686 Fulton Street will host a “Holiday Stories & Singalong” for all ages. Come celebrate the holidays with the bookstore’s annual community singalong! The Greenlight staff, including Jarrod on guitar, will lead some rousing renditions of holiday classics, as well as present its annual reading of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Tasty treats for all and some holiday party favors for kids will be provided as the afternoon ends.

4. On Saturday, December 13, Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation will hold its annual RFK Memorial Holiday Party, featuring a bevy of activities for kids, including a sandbox, coloring and face-painting, a petting zoo, educational and early literacy workshops, a photo workshop for kids, dance performances, storytelling and more! Beginning at 9:00am, hundreds of eager children, ages 5-12, will gather at Restoration, located at 1368 Fulton Street. Mark your calendars for this much-anticipated event in the community!
