NCAA's March Madness Coming to Barclays Center!

The National Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Site Selection Committee announced today that Barclays Center will be a host site for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament in 2016.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Site Selection Committee announced today that Barclays Center will be a host site for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament in 2016.

The NCAA Men's Division Basketball Championship is a single-elimination tournament played each spring, featuring 68 college basketball teams to determine the national championship of the major college basketball teams. The tournament organize by the National Collegiate Athletic Association was created in 1939 and has become one of the most famous annual sporting events in the United States.

"We are excited to host one of the world's greatest sporting events in a venue that has become the center of college basketball on the East Coast," said Brett Yormark, CEO of Barclays Center. "In just two years, Barclays Center has welcomed the most exciting and talked-about events in sports and entertainment, and the NCAA Tournament will be another celebrated moment for the borough."
