According to police, on October 5, at around 7:30pm, an armed robber in a black mask opened fire inside of Myrtle Grocery, located at 297A Myrtle Ave, across from Fort Greene Park, then made off with nearly $900 in cash, said police.

The perpetrator-- described as an adult male, 5 feet 9 inches, 160 pounds, wearing a black mask, gray jacket, black jeans and black sneakers at the time of the robbery-- pulled out a black .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun and demanded a store clerk hand over nearly $1,000 in cash.

He then opened fire one time inside the store. The bullet hit a wall, and no one was hurt. The entire incident was caught on camera, and police are investigating.
