We first announced it earlier this summer, and now it's here, right in the heart of Brooklyn's cultural district!
It's the first annual SOURCE360 Music, Art & Culture Expo. In just a few days, Hip Hop will take over Central Brooklyn with trade shows, concerts, fashion shows, rap battles and panels, centered around the digital, tech, gaming, sports, art, music and fashion.
Events will take place over the course of three days, beginning Friday, September 19, through Sunday, September 21 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Barclays Center, Long Island University and all throughout the Brooklyn Cultural District. Events include

Some Highlights:
On Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20, from 9:00am - 7:30pm, come check out a series of dynamic panel discussions at the HS, LLC Building Lecture Halls and the Kumble Theater at LIU. Some of the panel topics include "Hip Hop & Society: The Social + Political Impact of the Music;" "Film & Television: Behind The Lens — Discussion on the Most Impactful Directors of the last 25 Years;" "Education: Hip Hop Pedagogy & Scholarship — Form Harvard to The White House;" "Style360: Beauty & Fashion Panel" and more! On September 19, BAMcafé Live will present "Pass the Mic: Ladies First — A Night of Women Emcees," celebrating the talented, and often overlooked, women of the hip-hop industry. The event features performances by Brooklyn emcee Nitty Scott, Queen of Bollyhood Rajé Shwari, and iconic rappers Roxanne Shanté and Sweet Tee. Sept. 20 is "International Hip-Hop Night" at BAMcafé Live, with performances by Malian rapper Amkoullel, Nigerian-born emcee AYoinmotion, Mexican rapper Bocafloja, Senegalese rap group GOKH-BI SYSTEM, Chilean duo Rebel Diaz, and Cape Verde artist Shokanti.
Also on September 19 and 20, The SOURCE360 Film Festival at BAMcinématek will present "Notorious," the 2009 film celebrating the life of the best rapper to come out of Brooklyn—the late Christopher Wallace, better known as the Notorious B.I.G. BAMcinématek will also screen "Time is Illmatic," a documentary about legendary Queens rapper Nas; "The Man with the Iron Fists" starring RZA of Wu-Tang Clan, hip-hop documentary film "Rhyme & Reason" featuring interviews with KRS-One, Kurtis Blow, and other greats. There will also be a Q&A with RZA and actress Antonique Smith, who played Faith Evans in "Notorious."
Also, Run DMC, Wu Tang Clan, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Common, Spike Lee, Danny Simmons, MC Lyte, Brandon Martinez, Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams, and more are expected to participate and/or be in attendance, including a full-scale concert at the Barclays Center on Saturday, September 20th.
