WHO: Council Member Laurie A. Cumbo of the 35th District, The City University of New York, The New Americans Campaign, NALEO and 85+ registered participants

WHAT: Citizenship Now! Application Assistance Event (English and Spanish)

Experienced lawyers and other immigration professionals will assist registered participants in completing forms if they meet all of the following naturalization requirements: You have resided in the United States as a permanent resident for five years (or for three years if you are married to and living with a U.S. citizen). You have been physically present in the United States for half of the five (or three) year period. You are at least 18 years old. A $680 filing fee (check or money order) is required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. It is not necessary to bring the fee to this event. They will also provide assistance in filling out the fee waiver form for those who qualify.
