Another man, a Russian tourist, was arrested for scaling the Brooklyn Bridge yesterday, saying he "did it for fun," reported the Daily News.
Cops busted Yaroslav Kolchin, 24, on Sunday for climbing the 276-feet tower on the Brooklyn side while snapping cell phone photos.
Kolchin was a on a tour while visiting the city for business. As a result of his shenanigans and subsequent arrest, he had to surrender his passport and was ordered held on a $5,000 bond, while the organizers for his trip arranged a stay for him at a Bed-Stuy hostel.
He was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct, officials said.
The incident is the third time security has been breached atop one of New York City's bridges-- just a month after German artists were able to plant white flags atop both of its towers and less than a week after protestors unfurled a pro-Palestine flag on the nearby Manhattan Bridge-- raising concern among some about the bridges' vulnerability to a terrorist attack.
"You can hold me accountable and hold Commissioner Bratton accountable," said the mayor of the breach in security.
De Blasio said he's launched an investigation into how to boost security across all of the bridges.
