The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center will celebrate this year's National Health Center Week  (August 11 -16) with an open house at the center's two locations, 1456 Fulton Street and 1238 Broadway in Brooklyn, joined by State Assemblymember Annette Robinson and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams. The goal of the weeklong celebration is to increase awareness of America's Health Centers as local solutions for affordable and accessible health care. Both open houses will feature music, raffles, face painting for the children, refreshments, free blood pressure screenings and information on health and health services. "Our patients not only get the care they need under one roof, but they are treated as individuals, with dignity and respect," said Patricia Fernandez, BSFHC president and CEO. "This is what health care should be, and what we celebrate during National Health Center Week." In addition to primary care services, BSFHC provides free programs designed to empower our clients to live and maintain healthier lifestyles, which include free fitness classes, health education and free screenings.
