Community Board 3, covering the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, June 2, 7:00pm, in the lower level of Restoration, located 1368 Fulton Street.

On Wednesday, June 4, from 6:30pm — 8:30pm, Join Pratt Area Community Council for a small business workshop, "Accessing Capital Funds." This Free interactive workshop will focus on obtaining funds for your business. The event will take place at PACC's office, located at 896-900 Fulton Street, 2nd floor. On Thursday, June 5, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, the 2014 Sackler Center First Award honors Anita F. Hill for Speaking Truth to Power. The awards ceremony takes place at the Brooklyn Museum This annual award celebrates women who have broken gender barriers and made remarkable contributions in their fields, and will be presented to Hill by Museum Trustee Elizabeth A. Sackler and Gloria Steinem, with First Lady of New York City Chirlane McCray, Honorary Chair of the event. Limited tickets are available at $200 and include a cocktail reception, the screening, and the award presentation. Tickets for the screening and award presentation only ($20) are currently sold out.
