Bright and early Friday morning (8:00am, to be exact), Council Member Robert E. Cornegy, Jr., his wife Michelle and members of his City Council staff joined Transportation Alternatives’ NYC Bike Ambassadors on the corner of Hancock and Bedford Ave in Bed-Stuy for a two-pedaled commute across the Williamsburg Bridge and into Manhattan.
The Cornegys have been cycling to work since buying bikes at a local shop as a Mother’s Day gift for Michelle and an early Father’s Day gift for Council Member Cornegy.
“Bike commuting contributes to my fitness while actually saving me time. My daily commutes are a beautiful time for me, body and soul.”
