Meet Devin, the sculptor, from Fort Greene, Brooklyn. He was in Manhattan waiting to catch a train back to his Brooklyn art studio! What caught The Reader's eye were his polka dots, which you don't see on very many people lately. Plus his cute red sneakers were a great choice.Meet Nigel "Docta Gel" Dunkley, a comedian, poet and ventriloquist. What caught the Reader's eye was his combination green suitcase, red bow-tie and brown t-shirt, which read "Cindy Hot Chocolate." Turns out, he was just arriving on the subway platform with his side-kick Cindy in the green suitcase to put in a few hours of ventriloquism. Within seconds of taking Cindy out, she began talking and had the entire platform giggling. Even a few of the kids recognized "Docta Gel" from YouTube.
