Sponsored by the Haiti Cultural Exchange, a non-profit organization established to develop, present and promote the cultural expressions of the Haitian people, the festival seeks to highlight the dynamic presence of Haitians in New York City and build awareness, appreciation and conversation around the Haiti of NOW.

The festival kicks off on Saturday, May 17, 2014, with an opening night celebration and will continue for six weeks, culminating on June 30, during Caribbean Heritage Month.

A free outdoor celebration of Haitian culture with live music, traditional drumming, crafts, food, and dance workshops with CUMBE.

Music by DJ Sabine Blaizin, Jocelyne Dorisme, and Nadïne LaFond. FREE kid's Haitian Flag Day crafts! Marketplace featuring Haitian & Afro-Diaspora artisan items & local businesses Raffle prizes! Giveaways! And more!

With co-hosts Rodneyse Bichotte, 42nd District Leader and State Committee Woman, poet Mr. Jeff Dess, Jeff Lindor, Elsie Saint-Louis of HAUP, and Carine Jocelyn of Diaspora Community Services.
