UPDATE: Police Arrest Man Filmed Abusing Cat in Bed-Stuy

Update 9:10pm: Police confirm the arrested of the suspect, identified as Andre Robinson. He has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty.

Update 5:05pm: 81st Pct. Police say, after several calls and tips from the community, they have a "person of interest," they believe may be the one seen in the video. However, they are doing more investigating.

"We're confident that we're going to be able to close this shortly," said Scott Henderson, 81st Pct deputy inspector.

Police in the 81st Precinct are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who was filmed kicking a cat in the air in Bed-Stuy.

The incident allegedly occurred on the grounds of Brevoort Houses, located at 296 Ralph Avenue near Fulton Street. The perpetrator is unidentified at this time.

NYPD has a responsibility to investigate any animal abuse complaints. Below is a link to the video.
