FAB Alliances Announces Spring/Summer Events Lineup

Today, the Fulton Area Business (FAB) Alliance announced the lineup for its 2014 outdoor event series kicking off April 25, and running through September.

Today, the Fulton Area Business (FAB) Alliance announced the lineup for its 2014 outdoor event series kicking off April 25, and running through September.

The free events will take place in the outdoor plazas along Fulton Street in Clinton Hill and Fort Greene. With more than 55 events taking place through spring and summer.

The FAB FRIDAY ACTIVITIES are a festival of fun for the whole family, including FAB FRIDAY KIDS, featuring high-energy, interactive concerts for kids ages 1-5 years. Later in the day, for kids ages 4-12 years old, the little ones can enjoy arts and crafts with working artists of South of the Navy Yard Artists (SONYA), children's book inspired art activities with Greenlight Bookstore and Lunitas Cafe, hula-hooping, urban croquet, sidewalk chalk drawing, FDNY Safety training, portable pop-up library from the Uni Project and more!

FAB FRIDAY NIGHTS invite the after-work crowd to kick off the weekend with DJs, dancing and food from local restaurants in the outdoor plazas.

Additionally, PLAZA PROGRAMMING is a robust series of classes and events taking place several times a week at Putnam Triangle Plaza in Clinton Hill. There will be dance and exercise classes, Jazz and Gospel Concerts, DJ Dance Parties, Chess Tournaments and more!

JAZZ FESTIVAL and ART FAIR, June 21 - 11am-9pm

Putnam Triangle Plaza (Fulton and Grand). Presented in Partnership with Brownstone Jazz and South of the Navy Yard Artists

Critically-acclaimed Brownstone Jazz of Bedford Stuyvesant is presenting a full day of jazz performances outdoors at Putnam. Plus, there will be an art fair hosted by South of the Navy Yard Artists (SONYA), all art for sale costs under $50. Food will be available for purchase.

Richard Pryor Triple Play—It's a Richard Pryor summer at the Putnam Triangle. A trio of films starring the comic great on three Tuesdays in July. Plus, there will be a DJ spinning and food available from FABulous local restaurants; TUESDAYS 8pm (Showtimes at Dusk); Putnam Triangle Plaza (Fulton and Grand)

July 8 - Bustin' Loose dir. Oz Scott (1981, 94min) This comedy features Richard Pryor, a busload of dangerous kids, and a Roberta Flack soundtrack.

July 15 - The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings dir. John Badham (1976, 110min) Motown's charming pastoral comedy is among the greatest baseball movies ever.

July 22 — Mel Stuart'sWattstax (1973, 98min) Stax Records brings out the stars for this awe-inspiring soul concert film.
