April 11, 2014 Friday Night Mixer: "The Pre-Party"; Marcus Vineyard's doors will open 5pm on Friday. Happy Hour and drink specials available all night. Sounds by DJ Doug Brown and live performance by Bed-Stuy's own Tai Allen. Free entry granted with open house ticket purchase, just bring proof of purchase.

April 12, 2014 All Day Open House: "The Party": Marcus Vineyard's doors will open from 1pm- until on Saturday. Marcus Vineyard will offer buffet/self serve brunch from 1pm- 4pm, self serve tapas from 7pm-10pm and an abundance of great food/great people/great music all day! During the day party, our esteemed guest will be graced by the rich stylistic sounds of The Rakeim Walker Project. Once the sun goes down, DJ Hard Hittin Harry & Phearnone will turn this special edition of the BK Cool Bed-Stuy Fly Saturday night party WAY UP!

His fiery live sets, where Yuksek's svelte, supple physique swoops between his vintage keyboards and FX board, will be setting the Glasslands stage alight with support from Headband & Hooligan (Powerslug), Misawa (Supply).

WHAT: The Opening Reception of Re: Purpose--  The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) is pleased to present Re: purpose, a satellite group exhibition at FiveMyles featuring Pamela Council, Sara Jimenez, Sondra Perry and Patrice Renee Washington. Through sculpture, photography, digital media and performance, these four New York-based women artists transform common domestic and cosmetic objects to expand the possibilities of self-representation. Whether it is through the use of acrylic nails, salt or baking flour, each artist dynamically redefines an object's form and function to reveal its hidden histories and how our identities inform our perception. This satellite exhibition and performance series is the first collaboration between FiveMyles and MoCADA.

WHAT: Revival Going-Away Party-- Revival, the open-format monthly dance party, welcomes Texas number one party starter, DJ Sober, direct from Dallas on Saturday, April 12th. This will be the last Revival for a while so make sure you mark your calendars, save your energy and come ready to dance! Sober joins our resident DJ tandem Rich Medina and PQ for REVIVAL's Going Away Party. With RICH MEDINA and PQ at the helm, Revival always attracts an ecclectic crowd with a penchant for dope dance moves. Each month features a different special guest DJ set, adding a slightly different music flavor to the mix. The guest DJs, who have included such venerable names as DJ Spinna, Clark Kent, Tony Touch, Cosmo Baker, Stretch Armstrong, DJ Soul, Sake 1, and more, are given the reigns to take the crowd on the musical journey of their choice, with only one guiding principal: people should be dancing.

WHAT: The Season Opening of Habana Outpost-- The summer hangout spot, Habana Outpost will open for its eight season on Saturday, April 12th. Since the spacious restaurant first launched, summer in Brooklyn has come to mean lounging with friends over grilled corn, Cuban sandwiches and smoothies from a bike-powered blender!
