The public school mid-winter break starts next week!

Don't let video games and the television be your child's babysitter. There's no time to waste in developing your child's mind and preparing them for a successful future.

DIVAS for Social Justice will be offering a STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math) Camp for your child during the New York City public school mid-winter break, February 17 - 21, right here in Central Brooklyn!

The camp is in session Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 3:00pm for $325. The camp will offer workshops in the following subjects:

Digital Media: Youth will learn digital photography and the basics of Adobe Photoshop as well  video production. This workshop will be facilitated by Clarisa James, MFA who has taught multi-media workshops at Brooklyn College and a number of high schools in Central Brooklyn.

Robotics: Lego Mindstorm Robotics will be taught by Professor Andrea Taylor of Pace University. Professor Taylor currently coaches the robotics team divaSTEAM.

In addition to the STEAM workshops, youth will take trips to the Weeksville Heritage Center and the Museum of Tolerance of New York.

Children in this program gain friendships, learn a lot and have fun!
