The New York City Police Department is asking the public for any information leading to the takedown of a notorious gang known in Brooklyn as "Brooklyn Most Wanted" (BMW).
BMW is wanted in connection with a slew of violent incidents, shootings and homicides within Brooklyn's 67th and 70th Pcts of Flatbush and the 71st Pct of Crown Heights.
Over the past few months, officers of Brooklyn South have commenced an operation called "Dubbed Out" targeting BMW. The operation so far has led to five arrests for weapons possession, the seizer of 16 firearms, four positive DNA hits and two ballistic matches.
Additionally, 11 arrest warrants have been issued, according to 71st Pct police.
