The State of Bed-Stuy meeting hosted by CIBS scheduled for this Wednesday, January 22, at Restoration Plaza has been canceled! We'll keep you posted about whether the meeting will be rescheduled as more details emerge.

This Wednesday, 80 Arts presents "Happy Hours with a Purpose," a networking event where you can learn tools for cultivating fans, donors and other resources to support your work. This Wednesday, January 22, from 6:00pm — 7:00pm in the 80 Arts Lobby, located at 80 Hanson Place.

Also this Wednesday is "A Community Talk on the Amazing Bud Powell: Genius, Music and Masculinity"-- a community discussion on Prof. Guthrie P. Ramsey, Jr.'s new book, "The Amazing Bud Powell: Black Genius, Jazz History and the Challenge of Bebop," hosted by Dr. Guy's Musiqology. Discussants are Prof. Guthrie P. Ramsey, Jr., Darnell L. Moore and Dr. Aimee Cox. This all takes place at Bed-Stuys newest barbeque joint, Little Brother Stuyvesant-Heights, located between MacDonough St. and Decatur St.
