Tickets on Sale Now for BAMkids Film Festival

The Brooklyn Academy of Music presents the 16th Annual BAMkids Film Festival, kicking of February 22-23, at BAM Rose Cinemas, located at the Peter Jay Sharp Building, 30 Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

Tickets are on sale now. The festival, which runs from 10:00am - 4:30pm both days, showcases 74 films from 27 countries, including US, New York, and world premieres.

Price: $9 for children (13 and under) and seniors, $13 adults, $7 BAM Cinema Club members

Highlights of the 2014 festival include "Cutting Hedge Animation," an all-animation shorts program for ages 7—10, six international features, and two short film programs for the youngest audience members, ages 2—5.

In addition to the films, this year's film festival will include live performances by two Brooklyn based bands—Rabbit Days & Dumplings and Mil's Trills.

These performances will take place in BAMcafé at noon and 2:30pm featuring a celebration of folk and children's music from all over East Asia by  on Saturday, February 22, and an interactive, spirited rhythmic adventure with Mil's Trills on Sunday, February 23.

There will also be special ongoing activities for the whole family in the lobby of the Peter Jay Sharp building such as music video or flipbook-making stations, face painting, and more.
