Police Seeking Robber Targeting Cab Drivers in Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights

Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a string of related cab robberies between Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights and Canarsie, with the most recent one taking place on December 6 in Crown Heights near Bedford Avenue and Empire Boulevard.

Police are looking for the following suspect believed to be responsible for a string of cab robberies in Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights

Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a string of related cab robberies between Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights and Canarsie, with the most recent one taking place on December 6 in Crown Heights near Bedford Avenue and Empire Boulevard.

According to police, the first reported incident was in July in Canarsie, in which the suspect held up the cab driver at knife-point and demanded cash.

The next two incidents, took place in Bed-Stuy on October 6 and 7 -- both near McDonough Street -- where again, the suspect hails a cab and while en route, pulls out a knife and demands money from the driver.  was two reported incidents occurred handful of Brooklyn cab robberies, one of which took place in Crown Heights.

The fourth reported incident happened again in Canarsie, and the most recent December 6 incident took place in Crown Heights.

Police have released a photo, who is described as 5 foot 8 and around 180 pounds.
